Why Choose a 2K Headlight Restoration System?
Most headlight restoration products stop at sanding and polishing before applying a temporary protective coating. While these methods can improve appearance initially, the protection often degrades over time, allowing oxidation to return.
Our 2K Headlight Restoration Kit takes restoration a step further by applying a hardened clear coat finish similar in concept to modern automotive paint systems. This creates a durable protective layer that helps maintain clarity, gloss, and protection significantly longer than conventional restoration methods.

How To Use:
Step 1: Clean the Headlight
Wash the headlight lens and surrounding area to remove dirt, bugs, wax, grease, and road grime. Dry completely before masking.
Step 2: Mask Around the Headlight
Use the yellow masking tape to tape around the edges of the headlight. Use the Tape and Drape to cover the bumper, fender, hood, grille, and any nearby painted surfaces. Make sure only the headlight lens is exposed.
Step 3: Wet Sand the Headlight
Soak the 600 grit sandpaper with clean water.
Wet sand the entire headlight lens by hand using even pressure.
Keep the surface wet while sanding.
Sand until the old haze, yellowing, and damaged clear layer are removed.
The lens should look evenly dull and frosted when finished.
Step 4: Rinse and Dry
Rinse the headlight thoroughly with clean water.
Remove all sanding residue with Spray Away or Quick Detailer for best adhesion.
Dry the headlight completely.
Make sure no water is trapped around the edges before spraying clearcoat.
Step 5: Prepare the 2K Clearcoat
Shake the can well before use.
Activate the 2K clearcoat according to the directions on the spray can.
After activation, shake again thoroughly.
Important: Once activated, the clearcoat has a limited use time. Spray both headlights during the same session.
Step 6: Spray the First Coat
Hold the can about 6–8 inches from the headlight.
Apply a light, even first coat across the entire lens.
Do not spray too heavy on the first coat.
Allow the first coat to flash according to the clearcoat can instructions.
Step 7: Spray the Final Coat
Apply a second, wetter coat for gloss and clarity.
Keep your spray passes even and slightly overlapping.
Avoid heavy buildup around the edges.
Apply additional coats only if recommended by the clearcoat can instructions.
Step 8: Let the Clearcoat Cure
Allow the headlights to dry and cure according to the clearcoat can instructions.
Do not touch, wash, or expose the headlights to water until the clearcoat has properly cured.
Step 9: Remove Masking
Once the clearcoat has set, carefully remove the masking tape and Tape and Drape.
Pull tape slowly away from the fresh clear edge.
